Hi anyone got any links or phone numbers of good sva testers also prices
LTC in liverpool are pretty good. Benefit is you dont have to custom\'s clear until the SVA is all done as the testers are at the port.

Is it just a testing station you want or someone who does the preparation and testing. For SVA prep and testing you won\'t go far wrong with SVA UK at Southampton. I just imported a Mitsu Delica Spacegear - 1994 model so less than 10 years old so needed SVA. I was going to prep it myself to save money but got distracted by going on holiday to Tenerife instead :)
I moved the motor from the Hual compound after doing customs clearance - even though SVA UK is within the port, Hual and the port cargo handling guys wouldn\'t let me remove it from the Hual compound unless duty and VAT paid - they need the Customs and Excise release docs.
Anway....I\'m waflling.....
Got it to SVA UK, booked it in, and a week later it had been SVA prep\'d, SVA tested and MOTd - all I suffered was a £663 dent in my wallet - OUCH. But they were very efficient, made sure nothing that they had to remove from the car went missing, recorded every little mark on the motor before they took it off me and so on. It saved me a lot of hassle.
They have a website //www.svaukltd.co.uk. Certain people slate this company for being expensive yet when you add up the costs of everything they ain\'t so bad and these certain people don\'t necessarilly work out much cheaper by the time they charge you for a driver to test centre, driver to MOT, costs to remove this and add that.
However, next time I\'ll DIY!

I went with SVA Uk ltd in Southampton, not the best service, a bit slow and a sloppy finish on my rear light conversion that fell off on the way home.
You sound like you got it good compared to me Pete!
Corrected thread title.
