I personally would not use xs power stuff on my car, especially important components like turbo\'s. They use 1980\'s technology and i think i read on rx7club.com that the turbo housings are glued together:eek:

One lad on here bought an xspower smic and he could not even close the bonnet after because the fitment was crap. You really do get what you pay for. Go with a garrett, kkk, trust greddy or hks turbo instead..will cost extra £££ but well worth it

It will be until it cracks! Welds can be substandard on some of these.

Yes, that will cure the problem with dodgy welds.

I agree with all other posts. They are crp...  Same brand as SS Autochrome.. Have NEVER heard anything good about them, and on silvias.. the manifolds cracked for 6 persons on the swedish silvia forum..  Don\'t buy!

Stainless manifolds can crack, XS/SS or not (even the known brands) however the welds are typically shocking - if you do ever buy one make sure you clean up the inside of the manifold, I\'ve seen one or two turbos killed by blobs of excess weld coming free and chipping blades

my brother has had single turbo setups for these on his supra and skyline, my mates supra also had it and anothers 200sx. They all seemed fine, and never had anyproblems with cracking, turbos or fitment. I guess they have all been lucky then??!!

basically if its turbo parts sold on eBay and its chrome its probably no good.
i\'ve looked at turbo parts before and basically found out to stay away from

SSAC
XS Power
OBX
and Stone Mountain...

I have one of these fitted, no problems with welds or fitting yet, but! to be honest i have found they have no effect on inlet temps ( not sure what power they can handle with other mods anyway) even with ducting, at the end of the day you may as well stick with stock if you are considering buying one of these for a stock car, i for one will be changing to v mount in the future.

They are cheap yes, but cheap enough to easily replace if they fail.

I had a XS Power SMIC and had no problems with the fitting or the shutting of the bonnet. I would say, if you do have probs, then it\'s down to the person not the product (that\'s with the SMIC anyway).

Wastegate, manifold and turbo delivered... £280!

Even if it lasted only a year, you can\'t complain at that price.

I also know Supra owners who have used XS power with no problems.

A Fair point but the consideration also has to be IF they do fail what other parts are they gonna take with them????

OK so turbo kit £280.00, turbo fails sending bits of turbo into engine...... thats not gonna be cheap
