That was Ben Linney\'s car i believe as i looked into buying it when it was up for sale, i think since then the engine has been changed to something else non-rotary.

See if i have any pics :

If your think cossie please remember when running bhp like that you can make a cup of tea before it makes boost. Driven a mates well sorted cossie and just couldn\'t live with the lag he has, its monumental !

as everyone has probably said before THATS JUST WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!

I dont realy think it can be called a rx7 anymore without a rotary engine, may look nice and be quick and everything but kills the identity and meaning of the car.

In that case - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :Giggle

Doesn\'t the engine have a 6.something compression so they can run high boost?! :3Confused

Brett : tell me more about this diesel stuff  :chat

Im sorry, once it was on boost it was fab. He rebuilds his own engine and I think when i drove it there was a GT35 fit with the boost running at 43psi. Thats the main reason why it took so darn long. Mine with stock twins can be instant at any point between 2.5k and 7.5k. His boosted from 5.5k, not good.

I did say to him I could make a cup of tea. He promptly took me out and drifted brilliantly round a small roundabout and promptly dropped a gear on the way out and broke the diff which he had fitted the day before !

When you mean anti lag you mean change down a couple of gears :Giggle

Don\'t get me wrong when its hooked up its as good a a sorted rex but gear choice is much more required.

I do like it, just couldn\'t live with it as my own. The spool sounds fab, but the time it took to get there was scarey.

Simplest engine for the FD as a n/a would either be the FD engine with High compression rotors out of the FC EGI. Running PP :D Or do it proper and fit a 20b with a PP :D
