right ive removed the air pump disconeted the air con and pull out the condenser for it also i took out the butterflies out of the uim and some solaniods which are the double throttle, both secondary air soleniods and i think the pressure regulator and all the pipes for them now this car is a auto 1995 its still got the cat on.
i conneted my apexi pfc and reset it them i started her up it fired big grins alround:D :D then it 3 min later it started to find idle which i fort is the learning prosess so i look in on the dash it was getting near stalling and the heat lamp was flickering all the time it still didnt settle out after 10 mins so i then put the rear screen defrost on still didnt settle then it stalled it cut out while all this was going on it was poping and the engine was shaking please can anyone have some addvice as i dont think it sould stall while the learning prosess and the fact that the heat lamp was flickering has spooked me out as that means theres something wrong or am i just paranoid:3Confused and im not going to start her again untill i have more of an idea of what im doing.:god :god :god :god :god :god :god :god :god :god :god :god :god :god
you need the datalogit to reset the power fc
I think you can reset it on the comander, but if it has been mapped to your car you will lose the map!
Bob
i have reset it, it just stalled half way through the learning process and the heat light was flicking all the time it was learning would it be cos i left the cat on still.
help anyone??
What do you mean by the secondary air solenoids and fuel pressure regulator. You need all the piping for the pressure regulator.
Also you shouldn\'t be removing the air pump with the cat in place. If you do remove the airpump, you can also remove the acv. This will eliminate 2 solenoids, then remove the double throttle, this eliminates another solenoid. You shouldn\'t have removed any more unless you are non sequential.
hi i have removed the acv and the air pump and them two solenoids and the double throttle and its soleniod and thats it i didnt think keeping the cat on whould make much difference would this afect the idleing?
to start with has the apexi been tuned for your car? if not have you had the car running on this ecu? i only ask as im not sure it can run an auto.
when your car stalled did it sound bunged up, or starved of fuel or badly firing?
here is the full vacuum diagram (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=19309&d=1147119167)and the minimum vacuum diagram (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=19308&d=1147119167)to still keep the turbos seq. it sounds like your cat may be blocked? stalling the engine that way, would also explain the heat light flashing. also the heat light will flash if the alternator isnt producing enough current to charge the battery ie to slow.
i would re visit your rats nest and check what you have/have not removed.
when you are happy with this i would re start the car and monitor your commander and car, are you getting any unusual readings? does the car sound ok? does the idle get rougher as the car warms up?
also if for all the work you have done i would highly recommend a remap as it WILL be needed, so i would phone your tuner of choice for advice as they are all far better at all this than us. Carl has been a lot of help with through my recent problems.

what can make the alternator slow, i was doing the learning process on the apexi and half way it stalled it sounded ok apart from it trying to find a place to idle and the poping and would the cat make it stall cos the air pump is not there any more as i need to get under it to take it off and dont have a ramp.
