hello i am new to the club i joined up because i was looking at selling my 300zx and buying a rx7 well i just looked at one today after looking at a few on autotrader and i have bought it :D due to pick it up in a couple of weeks thanks to all who wrote buying tips on here they have helped me here are some of the pics of it i was wondering if you could tell me what spoiler is on this thing hehe it has RE Amemiya badges on it but i still dont know exactly what RE Amemiya is im sure you guys can shed some light on that thanks any comments would be great :)

do a search mate or even search google. many many horror storys. i would advise getting it checked by one of our specialists local to you it would be roteknics, superseven or carl haywood to be sure.

how much do you think it would cost to get someone to go and check this one out for me? it looked like a ok car i did a google search and i read a couple of bad reviews not sure what to do now as i have paid a deposit down on it you got me **** scared now lol
i got my car from there about 1yr ago all good at the mo but would get a specialists to look at it so you dont worry about it going bang on you
from what i understand, ktc usually deal in salvage which they repair....
also, if youve coughed out any money by now, i fear it might be too late :(

Hi mate and welcome! I\'m new here too and i have also just recently purchased an RX-7, but unfortunately it won\'t be here for 2 months. I have picked up very quickly that you have to be very careful when buying one of these motors as they do tend to go BANG! if neglected. The best place in my mind to buy it from is Miguel at Newera imports. They are more expensive but they only deal in low mileage excellent condition examples. The give a comprehensive 1 year warranty including the tips and water seals, and any bodywork problems (ie. stonechips, dents, paint issues) are sorted as soon as it arrives in this country. Go to www.neweraimports.com (http://www.neweraimports.com) or call Miguel on 02078714991. Even though your ringing Japan it still only costs the price of a local call as it goes through the internet, but bear in mind that Japan is 9 hours in front, so ring early. Check out the FEED RX-7 pics thread on this forum to see my car, it should give you an idea of the kind of cars they sell.

you know, at that price, its not too bad even if it needs a rebuild shortly. All depends on the general condition of suspension, ancillaries etc. Those re am kits are f\'kin expensive and you could end up with a re am kitted fully rebuilt car with plenty of aftermarket parts for 8k, cheaper if you negotiated with them.

Pic are below. Official name for it is Bowtech generator. I think its carbon but i\'m not sure. This is it on Miguel\'s rex, as mine won\'t be fitted til the car arrives on the uk. If anyone knows any tips on fitting this thing let me know. Not sure whether or not to fit the little bow thingies yet (not shown):-

Just to follow on from the Keighley thing....there is another importer there now called Torque of Keighley....avoid that place aswell, because suspiciously the website design is almost identical, and the stock from KTC has been passed onto these guys aswell.
Making me think its the same company.
I really dont know how there getting away with it.
The Sil80 i bought from there had a fresh MOT even tho the brake lights, horn, sidelights didnt work, also there was no foglight fitted!
All of these are automatic MOT failures!

Its in the latest issue mate, which has a black NSX on the front.
They did the same with mine buddy.....appeared 8 months after i sent the photo\'s, and i never did recieve my prize either!

They are just fantastic to drive arnt they, even in standard form, just so well balanced, and good looking to boot!

welcome bud, how much u looking to spend on a rex then lol.. as above id stay well away fae ktc.. know of 3 m8s that bought from there n every car was mince.. 2 we`r cat D rightoffs.. i knew as soon as i saw them they wernt right.. in house mot`s too so worth nothing, they`ll pass anything.. like a teggy type r with 3 bold tyres, blowing exhaust n 4 fecked wheel bearings o and the lights pointin the wrong way.. conmen.. im amazed there still going...

thanks for the welcome :) all this talk of dogey kfc cars :Laugh one thing i did notice when i was looking at it was a piece of jap news paper shoved behind the front bumper with paint on it thought at the time maybe they had just sprayed the front to get rid of stone chips but after all i have heard most likely was a dogey been repaired kentucky fried piece of ****e
