Hi guys, have got myself confused with a non working horn! I have 12v at the button, i have 12v to one side of the relay, but still no horn when i push the button. The horn definately works, tested that, have even tried bridging the relay. Would this mean its the button, it is an aftermarket wheel??
Sounds like the steering wheel isnt earthed,. :)
Sorry to sound blonde, but what do you mean when you say not earthed?
You get a live feed from the ignition to the horn, then the horn sends the live back to the steering wheel, The steering wheel is bolted to the steering rack and so it earths itself, :) when u press the horn button, it sends a earth to the live wire, which makes the horn sound,
Put a piece of wire onto the chassis of the car, and tap it onto the live wire at the steering wheel, it should make the horn sound,
