Title: Question for you knowlagable people!!
Post by: Jono FD3 on June 21, 2007, 11:06:09 PM
Just finished off the car IC set up, This weekend I\'m going to be dropping in the power FC & go through the initial learning process of the ECU...... basicaly what I want to know is this....

I\'ve had alot of fabrication work done to the IC & pipework, it\'s all been cleand out as best I can. what I was thinking of doing was this:

Remove the pipe from the IC to the plenum, stick a universal cone filter on the intake elbow & give the engine a few blips of the throttle to spool up the blowers to blow out any loose crap that I have missed (Hopefuly I havent missed any!!!) would I be doing something bad if I did this on a base map, or is this a good idea for piece of mind???

Cheers

Wouldn\'t have thought so, the boost sensor is around the throttle body and plenum so the engine should get the right reading and fuel ok. Not sure if it will start up though due ??

That\'ll be fine. Done it before, it won\'t be a problem.

No problem doing this at all, the MAP sensor is the other side of the intake elbow, you can rev to your hearts content :Laugh
