Title: Where does the AST go now??
Post by: Jim_rx7 on June 21, 2007, 09:04:52 PM
When I had a SMIC the AST would bolt to that. But now I have a FMIC, where is it supposed to go? Does it have to go at a certain height etc?

thanks.

Make a bracket off the intake pipe going up to the elbow. Bit Heath Robinson but works fine. Bend a piece of bar and hose clamp it to the pipe :D

loads of brawn changing engines but the simple things, lol

you must just be well tired mate.

get ast, and literally wedge a piece of metal bracket through a clamp or clip on your intercooler pipe to hold it or to anything else tbh

LOL you see behind the filler neck cap there is a bolt, unscrew it and put a long but narrow bracket on it, bend it to shape and put your ast on it.

I would give you pictures but my mobile is useless and my car is in finchley
