I need to change over the oil cooler lines that come from the main block. My new block was obviously from a car with only one oil cooler where my car has the twin coolers.
Does anyone know what size of spanner I need to get on it? I tried an adjustable and it just slipped round (duh, obviously).
24 off the top of my head i think
Nah... I\'m sure I tried a 24. Anyone know for sure?
hmm yeh i think youre right actually...i remember using an adjustable!!
I tried an adjustable, but it just slipped round! :(
It\'s 23mm ... someone over at rx7club said so. lol
This thread is weird
Well without me going and buying a whole range of spanner sizes, why not?
Someone else will know and someone else in the future will most probably want to know!
id have used a socket set n found out the easy way lol.. how far away r u to finishing?
You can\'t get a socket on it because the other hose is very close to it.
Should be going by Tuesday at the latest! My solenoids came today, it\'s just that I\'m now working all day and all weekend! :(
Got to get the bumper off and fit the FMIC also.
You\'ll be there all day buying spanners one at a time. Just buy a set.
But I now know what size it is!
But what about the next mission? :)
Are you going to start a post each time you need to undo a bolt???
whynot its all un related items in a roundabout way, and also makes the \'search\' function usefull for anyone asking a similar question in the future :wiggle
next question will be about what color the sky is!
or how long that piece of string is.

I dont think theres any need to have a go guys, but i kinda see where yer going lol.. he`s paid his membership which is alot more than most on here so think he desearves a break..
yeah guys jim does need to hit the search button a few times and yes iv gave him it tight once but he`s abviosly not wanting to fduk his car.
and he`s got huge muts nuts to undergo a job like he has.
so unless you can help him out abit pls keep your bitchy comments to either pm`s or somewhere else.
thats my money`s worth so fire away woth your flames im ready lol
tbh i think i used an adjustable but you must make sure it is nipped up tight, i try to wiggle the spanner on the nut as i thighten it. also make sure it is the correct way around ie the force on the end of the prong?(i cannot remember the correct name) is on the fixed side otherwise it will slip VERY easly also its worth spending more money on tools like this as i have a bin full of sh1t tools that do more harm than good.
i think the point is its just a good idea to have a set of tools spanners sockets ect when owning a rotary, or a large bank ballence.......and i was only takin the pee.

Cheers chaps!! :D
And yeah, I\'m a paid member who\'s just done an engine swap. I\'m allowed to ask 1.10 million questions!! As for the search function... it doesn\'t always work how you want it too.
My questions will help others in the future!
If you mean the one on the block that is holding the Banjo fitting on, I\'ve just measured mine with a micrometer and is 23.xx mm, so 24mm spanner or 23mm spanner will be needed! Depending on the spanners quality!
Yeah... I have a multi head 24mm spanner which is pap, if it was a hex it might do. I\'m gonna get a 23mm spanner tomorrow.
Cheers mate.
