I\'m waiting on two parts and a little bit more hose coming tomorrow. I\'m also gonna have to swap the main oil lines from the old block to the new one as my car has two oil coolers and this engine is from one that had one. Also have to reconnect the loom etc..... oh and fit my new FMIC, and DP and straight through mid section.
After that, I have to bleed the clutch/brakes, fill with oil and coolant and hopefully the thing will start!! :D
... and a remap!
Fingers crossed for in a few days... will it start? lol
Get the battery on a trickle charge now so its at peak charge when you need it.
Kevin
Good idea mate.... cheers.
Anything special I need to do when/before I start it?? Or do I just start is as per normal?
Obviously, I need to fill oil/coolant/power steering fluid etc.
wow, looking good :D
Are you stripping the block when your done to have a play ??

Its probably worth adding a bit of atf to each rotor via the plug holes as you would if you\'d flooded it. It will aid compression. Also crank it first off with the fuel relay pulled to get some oil around the system. Then replace the relay and hopefully it will fire straight off.
Kevin
ATF mate??
Also, it\'s the EGI fuse right? How long should I crank it with the fuse out?
I\'m gonna film it when I attempt to start it, so if it doesn\'t work hopefully someone will have an idea. lol

Cheers mate.
Not decided what I\'m doing with it yet.... Keeping it, selling it, rebuilding it?
ATF= automatic gearbox/ power steering oil its a nice light oil easy to pour into the plug holes. As for cranking time ideally just until you see a little oil pressure that way you know there\'s oil right through the system.
Kevin
Ah cool. I\'ll be needing some power steering fluid anyway. :)
Mmm.. with the tempremental oil pressure gauge on the rex. It could be awkward waiting to see pressure?!
As it will be new oil then you should see it move if not just give it 10 secs or so enough to move it around. Don\'t forget to recheck oil levels before trying to start it as the oil coolers and lines will take a bit to fill them.
Kevin
Cheers bud!!
why didnt u paint in the engine bay while engine was out?
I was hiring the hoist mate and degreasing it etc would have taken too much time!
Congrats for getting this far :)
Keep up the god work mate! I admire your "go on" guts:Thumbsup!
