Hi there..:WaveBye

As the title suggests I\'m a newbie, actually I don\'t even own a RX7
But hopefully you guys can help me to sort the second issue out.
I\'ve always wanted a FD and now I\'m ready to put my money where mouth is, the main issue I\'m 6ft 2 and all the cars I\'ve sat in have been imports, so my knees are touching the steering wheel making steering a bit difficult. I\'ve spoken to a few people and they reckon that if I find the seat runners for a UK spec car it would give me the extra inches as they go further back so my legs wouldn\'t hit the steering wheel. Has anyone else done this or can anyone confirm it would work ? :wiggle

You can buy my Type RZ if you like:D

I am 6\' 2" and because it has the rare Recaro seats you get a lot more room.

Hi and welcome.....:wave

You can modify the standard or rails to go even more further back then uk ones:Thumbsup! and get a small steering wheel with flat bottom.  Now all you have to do now is go in for sale section and take your pick:Thumbsup! ...few good examples in there from standard to modified...:Thumbs-up :burnout

Apparently the import runners can be modified. Do a search, should find something. The question has been asked before. (I\'m 6\' and run an import with standard seats.)

Welcome to the forum.

I\'m 6 feet 2" and own a jap import. You will fit in fine but you are right with the standard steering wheel the bottom of it will rest on your knees. This isnt a problem for me driving around town etc but can be more of a problem on track when your pushing the car to its limits. As others have said a D shaped wheel will help or moving the seats back a bit can be done with new runners or drilling out the standard ones.

If your after a quality rex then try Miguel at www.neweraimports.com (http://www.neweraimports.com). He is pretty much an expert on them as he owns one himself. The level of service and quality of the cars they import and second to none. They only buy low mileage ones which haven\'t been abused so your in good hands with them. I\'ve recently purchased a FEED tuned one from them, here is a pic:-

I am 6\' 3" and have no issues driving an rx with slight modifications to allow extra travel on the runners.
If you want to try a car with modified runners, my silver car has had this done and as luck has it is for sale at:
