Solenoid for cold start!? :3Confused I only have one solenoid left - one for the purge system whatever that is called! Although most people would normally have the solenoid for the secondary throttle butterflies.
Same here. If you\'re going single properly, with an uprated fuel system, you should only need to keep the Purge and double throttle solenoids as Nik says.
cheers for your input dudes but am still a bit vague:confused:
i know iknow........... i am stupid!!! lol
i will be upratin the fuel pump and also injectors if that helps
heres some pics of where i am up to with it all, basically all i have done is remove the metal pipework which all these run into but now i dont know what to do with the rest??? if you can use the pics and draw what to do for me the simpleton it would be much appreciated:o
also can you see if i have to blank off, remove or replace aythin??
cheers lee

Remove the solenoids within the circled area. The green one at the bottom you leave. Leave anything connected to the solenoids you leave alone, and the solenoids you remove, you should remove any hoses that were connected to them. Any hoses remaining on your manifolds need to be blocked up. The exception to this is the three holes on the lower inlet manifold which do not need to be blocked off.
cheers for quickness nik, so what do i do with the connectors in the circled area then dude just leave em hangin? what is the green one then and where does it go?
cheers again lee
Connectors can either be left hanging, or snipped. Any solenoids left need to be connected though, obviously (i.e. Connect to the green one, and the purge control).
The green is the secondary throttle solenoid. It takes a feed from a vacuum source, and then goes to the secondary throttle actuator on the upper inlet manifold.
