Title: Rebuild?
Post by: padams2002 on January 26, 2004, 09:57:04 PM
Hi,

Just wondering if my car may be in need of a rebuild.

When I start the car up the engine shakes quite a bit and the gear stick shakes too. Also it idles strange, it goes like "flub flub flub flub" if you know what I mean.

As soon as the engine warms up all the shaking stops and it idles smoothly, also the car still feels extremly powerfull, as if there is nothing wrong. There is no smoke when warmed up.

Anyone think I have a serious probem?

Cheers
Paul

Hi there

Sounds to me like it could be the sparkplugs. It can be starting up on one Rotor, then the the other comes on line as it warms up. My car does this occasionally at the moment, new plugs going in soon.

Yeah thats exactly what it sounds like. Only 1 rotor starts at first but after it warms up the other one starts.
