hi folks i am new to the form. i am a former gt4oc member, but on saturday the gt4 is going. i have swapped it for a 93 rx7. i have always wanted one. but i dont know much about them. could you give me a couple of tips on what to look for as i am traveling from ayrshire in scotland down to reading so its a long way to go. the rx is needing a new primary turbo fitted which is coming with the car. its done 65,000 miles and had a rebuild 25,000 miles ago. i have a greddy t78 turbo in the garage which i thought of fitting. what do you guys thing? will i need a stand alone managemet? fueling? how laggy will it be? also i have seen a lot with the v-mount intercooler and rad set up is this the best way to go? the car will be street driven mainly. NOT drifted.
thanks for any info and help you can give me.

Yes going single turbo u will need a progammable ECU, in fact any sort of mods where by u increase boost u need an ECU
excellent thanks all have a look at that. i have a greddy emanage which i never got round to fitting to the gt4. would this do or would you advice selling it and going for something better?
sell it , not a fan on piggy back systems, buy the Apexi Power FC ECU instead and have it mapped correctly by a tuner
cool al do that then. as mapping isnt a problem my mate is excellent at it wouldnt go past him. he stays in ayrshire scotland and has guy coming all the way up from the south of wales to have mapping done. he is running the dta management in his gt4 which is putting out 500bhp+. do you recon the dta would be ok with it or is the power fc better suited to the rx?
I doubt if the dta does the correct ignition timing as a Rotary engine has a leading and trailing sparks so go with the Apexi , your tuner will need a datalogit to map it though
How do mate...............
