Title: Big thanks to Newera Developments
Post by: chrisBoid on June 17, 2007, 10:02:39 AM
It was that time again, time to spend some money on the car.  This year was a little different though as I had been compiling a list of all the little things that just needed to be sorted.  The list was huge but Gareth at Newera Developments was ever patient and I am very glad to have found someone who has a level of perfectionism and professionalism as high as mine.  This was even more important for all these \'little\' things that some people wouldn\'t be enthusiastic about fixing.  I am looking forward to working with him in the future and am ecstatic that I have found somewhere that I can simply hand the car over to and they can get anything I ask done to it to the highest standards.

The main things were a full service and checkover, resolve a power drain that I\'ve had for years, fit flush bonnet pins and respray the front half of the car to remove stone chips etc.  Many, many other little niggles were fixed as well as previous work from elsewhere that was re-done to a higher standard.

To say I was very pleased would be an understatement - I feel the car is back to as close to perfect as it gets and I can start concentrating on more substantial improvements in the years to come.

One more thing, I recommend a £200 valet every so often as well :)

Thanks again!

It looks stunning! I really love the colour of your FD, it always reminds me of the Interceptor car in Japan. whereabouts are they in the UK?

I may pop mine over there once all the cage and bits are done for a general tidy as I\'m sure all the bodywork has little scuffs being left off the car for nearly 6 months! Oh and what was the final total for that little lot (PM if you don\'t want to post, and if you don\'t mind me being nosey)!! ;)

I have to agree with Chris\' compliments on Gareth\'s work... Word seems to be getting around, he certainly seems busier in his 2nd year, well deservedly.

I\'ve known Gareth since he was a shy 12 year old neighbour... Heck, if you ask him he\'ll tell you I was the person responsible for originally getting him into cars and bikes way back then (Although if it hadn\'t been me, I\'m sure he\'d have found someone else) :D

Gareth went on to train for 4 years and become one of the UK\'s best Mercedes Benz Technicians before he came to work for Newera Imports & Newera Parts purely because of his passion for Japanese cars and wanting to live in Japan....

He subsequently left Newera Imports and returned to the UK (Missed home too much!) to start Newera Developments as his own business 2 years ago. I don\'t have any share in his company, but NI gives all it\'s work to him.
He preps all customer\'s cars that are imported, as well as doing tuning work for customers for whom we supply parts. These include anything from a £5,000 Starlet to a £60,000 Top Secret tuned R34 GT-R. I don\'t think we could find anyone better for the job TBH.

It\'s not only his standards of work that are excellent, but his honesty and professionalism.
I\'ve no doubt he\'ll go a very long way in his chosen career.

Miguel.

Cool stuff and best of luck to him!

I\'m sure many of us around here share yours and Gareth\'s passion for cars, its always nice to know that people selling services have the same appreciation as the people buying them!
