Title: What they worth???
Post by: Jono FD3 on June 13, 2007, 10:49:18 PM
Guys, can you take a look at these Apexi gauges for me & tell me what you would be prepaird to pay for a set like them.

They are genuine 60mm A\'Pexi Gauges, and have this on the dial face:
A\'PEXi EL BACK LIGHT
SYSTEM METER SERIES
A\'PEX ORIGINAL DESIGN

there are 3 gauges: boost, temp & pressure (the last 2 have memory, warning & peak lights & buttons too)

The other question is, are they like the defi\'s & have a link box, or are they stand alone units like other aftermarket gauges??? Going to get the sensors off the car they came out of on the weekend so I can fit them to the rex!!!

Once I\'ve had a few prices I\'ll let you guys know what I payed...... aslong as I haven been bent over a bonnet so to speak!!!

Cheers
Jono

Nice gauges!

They are the original EL meter series by Apexi.  They dont require a central control box, thats the EL 2 meter series, these units are independant.

Second hand i wouldnt of paid anymore than about £25 per gauge as they are a discontinued range now.

Apexi are my favourite gauages, I have the EL2 range in my FD.

Did you get the a-pillar holder too?

Thats good!! the gauges themselves came out of a colin McRae 555 edition 95 scooby so they cant be that old...... I have seen these EL gauges (Not the EL II) for sale in the states for about $300 per gauge!!!

I payd 75 for them, including the pilla trim (which will be sold on ebay) so fingers crossed the gauges have set me back £55 - £60, going to see what other usefull bits are left on the car that I can use this weekend!!
