Title: Swirl pot?
Post by: Initial-D on June 12, 2007, 10:19:05 PM
Just having thoughts about wheather I really need to go for a swirl pot (in car or somewhere safe underneath) or just get a baffle that sits in the tank, which is far cheaper and queiter. I need to do something as at half a tank or less and I get awful fuel cut which isn\'t good.

Any advise or suggestions welcome!

You can buy mine if you like?

You should also buy the extra fuel lift pump and pickup....stick it in the tank and then you can have pick up from both sides.....

Can help you with this if you need it.

Have exactly the same problem. I do have a swirl pot and Facet Red top pump kicking around too but do not fancy the pot in the boot. Where else could one be mounted? I am sure there are others in this situation. I hope there are some other solutions.

Atomic Rex I\'ve sent you email.

Does anybody here run a baffle in tank along with uprated pump? Any other thoughts on mounting for the swirl pot?

You can remove the charcoal canister and mount the swirl pot externally there.

Ive had a very quick look and can see a black canister. Would be ideal! What does it do now though?

The charcoal canister is just that and filter any fuel vapours through it so the car doesn\'t stink of petrol ;)

Hi All,

We are already able to offer under car swirl pots that bolt to the back of the FD subframe or if you supply your own dimensions we will have a custom tank made for you for the same price.

You can order these here (http://www.ekmpowershop3.com/ekmps/shops/cliveh/index.asp?function=DISPLAYPRODUCT&productid=775) if you wish and don\'t forget MRC members can log in to get their MRP 5% discount.

Yep we can do small 1 liter swirl pots for carby cars to order and also the old Bendix style Blue Top fuel pumps as well (bit better than the standard Red Top) as well as carb system regulators, in line filters and even the good old Filter Kings infact we can supply whatever you need to power up yer fuel system.

Indeed we had a Gen 1 customer just a couple of weeks ago who purchased most of the above.

Hope this helps,
