Another vote for the T1-R here, on my second set....Great grip and good price too.:mmmm

Same as running T1-R\'s all round. Competitively priced, good grip in the dry, not bad in the wet and last well.

Prefer the T1-S to the T1-R tbh, personally think that the -R is a bit too suspect in the wet. Fantastic in the dry tho.

(I do have them on my Uncle Fester admittedly tho! :) )

i have been using bridgestone tyres until recently where i have changed to toyo r888 road legal slicks and can only comment how good these tyres are in the dry atm and to say once you get heat into them they are fabulous.

T1-Rs are great so long as you don\'t loon it too much, the side wall is quite susceptible to going soft.  On the road = great in the wet and dry, near a track = awful

I used to get a lot of fun out of T1-S\'s on track, never tried the T1-R\'s but always thought they are pretty good tyres for the money!

I guess it depends on the car, apparently the T1-R is the tyre of choice for the MX5 race series? My friend rates them highly for the track, but you really have to have something done, can\'t remember what it\'s called so they\'ve got less tread.

Toyo tyre\'s are very good in the dry, they need to be treated with care in the v wet. I have used Toyo 888 on two cars now and Ian the dry they are excellent, on the track the are even better when warmed up properly.
Just do not give them stick when they are cold.

I have to confess to not using the T1-Rs on the RX-7, I had a track setup Prelude that was quite light and when out on track they were awful, 2 laps in and the sidewalls turned into blancmange.

I\'m no racing driver but I\'m certainly no slouch around tracks so my tyres to get a good bit of abuse.

The 888s are meant to be very very good though :)

Yeah I can\'t remember what my friend called it but basically I think they shave them down to about 4mm of tread to stop them being crap on the track :)
