Post by: olly-civic on June 05, 2007, 09:16:42 PM
im getting the feeling that the wiring and connector to the pressure sensor is pretty turd and by the way mine sumtimes just drops to 0 and pops back up again it either means mine is suffering too or iv bought fizzy oil with bubbles in...
im thinking the 1st one is more likley,

also what pressure does people gauge read on tick over when its all warmed up,

Stock gauges are notoriously crap!!! but when they are working you should sit around the 2 mark at idle.

Just go for an after market one mate..... just for peice of mind!!

yeah mine hobbles about the 2 mark unless i get it really hot in which case it sits just above the bottom mark untill its calmed itself down a bit
im using castrol mineral oil in it at the moment, was gonna order sum stuff from the us, but i change it every 3k and cant justified spending the extra 20quid for somthing im gonna bin in no time at all

You can always swap the gauge and the sender and put the new gauge in the dash in the original position keeping the stock look without too much trouble, same with the water temp.
