hi guys was talking to my mate about his fd and he was telling me his car had done 110,000 miles on a non rebuild rotary with servicing every month and its still going strong is this possible
id say if you look after it(servicing)
dont always drive it like a loon
then i should`n see why they should`nt last
mines has 123km`s on the clock and i dont know when mines was rebuilt
gets oil change every 4 months regardless and a new set of plugs as well
Sounds fine to me, providing they are looked after and get run for a decent amount of time etc then they do last :yes I\'ve seen a couple of UK FD\'s with over 100k miles, one of my FC\'s did 157,000miles before a failing omp killed it off...
yep it IS possible.
i did 120k on a 12a before it threw a tip
Mark
FD did 100k untill engine became hard to start, TII did over 116k with no problems - block now in bits purley as I didnt think it would not go on much longer.
My FD has done about 75k miles and still starts fine hot or cold, getting a comp test at it\'s service today so will see how it\'s faring, had 6 bar on all chambers last time a test was done (when I got it at 48k miles).
Cheers,
Alex
Some engines are bound to be better than others though.
Got mine at 26k and it\'s now over 40k, OK I change the oil pretty regularly but it has never used one drop, ever.
thats funny the engines design is to use oil im sure
My thoughts exactly :2Confused
