Been swapping my old engine for a 2001 spec and converting the car to a single over the past few weeks, doing a few hours every couple of days when I have time off work.
Today I did a bit more and spent a bit of time trying to tidy the install up.
When you do a single turbo install its not just as easy as bolting a new one on, there are so many little things that crop up that you have to buy something for and so on, just rerouted the heater matrix hose, ripping the metal one out that runs along the firewall and replacing it with a rubber one and running it across the front of the bay as the compressor housing hits it.
Little things like this cost more money, easily another few hundred on top.
Had to swap looms over as my car is a 92 and the new engine was from a 2001 so the loom has a different ECU side connector so I had to swap the old loom to the new engine, a complete ball ache I can assure you.
Anyway posted a quick pic of how my engine bay is looking and a snap of my new turbo too..

nice one looking good
Rather you than me, looks like you know what you\'re going though.
Good luck!

What turbo have you gone for ? cant tell from the posted pics what it is exactly, TO4Z ??? :o
It\'s a Precision SC-30, with a .96 AR
Looking good mate, i also am running a single to, :wave where did you get the down pipe from?
I got the downpipe off a guy in america, same dude I got the turbo from.
Apparently it\'s an HKS one.
looking good, dont forget to replace the secondary fuel system and pump
Already had 1350 secondaries in there and a Walboro pump,
now I\'ve put 850\'s in the primary rail too so should have plenty of fuel :)
Looks like all is going well
Intercooler and radiator fit well what are the dimensions of the intercooler and the rad? Does the intercooler sit on top of the powersteering pipes?
Regards
Mark
