Title: Mazdaspeed front bumper
Post by: clandestine on June 01, 2007, 10:30:13 AM
I was driving along the motorway yesterday and some guy I was overtaking was pointing to my front and moving his arm up and down.

I wasn\'t quite sure if he was pointing at my lights or my front bumper but I have noticed that I can move my front bumper up and down slightly.

Is that okay?

My bumper moves abit but , sorted that out with new bolts under the wings, try that if not maybe re fit it see if you can get it to seat better.

Yeah, okay...thanks for that  I will see what I can do then!

I didn\'t think it should move but its one of those things you don\'t ever really think about until they start happening and then you say to yourself did it move before...don\'t know...better get onto the forum and find out!

I used to have a CBR600 and lost all my fairing going up and down the motorway...that was a nightmare...can\'t let the same thing happen again!

Definitly not good m8.
I would advise some bumper braces.
Take some aluminium bars and brace them from the bottom lip with 10mm bolts and secure them to the undertray with 10mm self tapers, do this at 2 points at the front and 1 on each corner of the bumper.
That will make it rock solid.
Best dun on a ramp or axel stands.

Cheers guys, I looked at the bumper and there are two nuts missing on the bottom lip underneath so I\'m going to replace them and certainly look at your idea Steve...
