Hello chaps
My cars idle is not very stable, when the air con is on or headlights the engine starts to hunt between 900 - 1300 rpm.
It has a power fc and looking through the instructions it recommends you run the \'learn\' mode when setting the power fc up for the first time by leaving it to idle for ten mins then turning on the a/c and doing the same etc....
My question is can I disconnect the battery then reconnect and run this procedure now , I do not want to start messing around with settings if I can help it as the car is a single turbo conversion and is set up ok apart from the annoying hunting under load.
Ps i have cleaned all my earth points up as I have heard that this can contribute to the problem.
Thanks
Nick

Hi
I think that you will find that disconnecting the battery will not erase your map...

Isn\'t there something about holding the brake pedal down for so many seconds or something like that to reset the apexi?
Almost - try this :
Quote from: d-kingyou cant reset an apexi with the brake thing thats only on the original plus i think that only drains all the power out of any wiring on the car ? you have to use the commander and reset but you shouldnt have to start the car to do this
IF you\'ve had the car mapped don\'t reset the power fc from the commander or you\'ll lose your map, unplugging the battery will not reset the power fc.
