Title: TII radio wiring
Post by: TiddlesRX7 on May 26, 2007, 07:00:33 PM
Can anyone help. I\'m fitting a new head unit to my 1990 TII but the wires have all been cut. Does anyone have a wiring diagram with the colours of the wires labeled. I\'ve managed with a few of them but not all of them. Cheers.

I\'ve got power to it through what was a amp power supply, front speakers and I just figured out which one the elec ariel  is. Was thinking of just laying new speaker wire to the back ones now as the rest of the wire don\'t seem to do anything. The main trouble is that there are a load of wires that arn\'t standard as well as the original ones. So I don\'t know which were being used by the previous owners. The next thing is getting a cage and face plate to fill the hole.  Halfrauds tried to sell me a fiesta one! Any ideas?

best way of finding out the speakers is with a 9v battery - just stick 2 speaker looking wires onto it and see if the speakers crackle

you can use a standard cage for the radio - but you will need the little cubby box to fill the blank

i cheated and put 3 gauges in and then the radio - filled the space nicely :D

any more questions - just fire away :D

I\'d love to stick some gauges in. I think i saw a pic of yours on another thread. I\'ve never done anything with gauges before so it could be a good challenge. It\'ll have to wait though cause of lack of funds. So i\'ll go with the cubby box idea for now. Any ideas where to get one from?
