Title: Cost of mapping
Post by: Clarky on May 25, 2007, 08:30:15 AM
What is the average cost of mapping an FD, and how long does it take.
is it better to have mapping done on the road, or a rolling road.

From what I\'ve read, average 1st map is around £300 and is safer done on the rolling road (no traffic, speed cameras, pedestrians etc). Carl Hayward does his on the road with very good results though.

My first map was around £300 and done on Reworx rolling road.  It took around an hour and a half including swapping ecu and changing coil and plug leads.  Main advantage of having it done on the rollers is the power graph printout and its much safer.
