Title: Where is the radio aerial?
Post by: pintglass on May 24, 2007, 09:12:56 AM
Sorry everyone full of questions today.

Does anyone know where the aerial for the cosmo lives? I have taken the OEM radio out and there appears to be a whirring (similar to an aerial being retracted) when I unplug the aerial leads on the back. There appears to be two aerial leads too, can anyone shed light?

Thanks

Pint

I think the FM aerial is in the back windscreen? I cant help more than that i\'m afraid.  Try on ausrotary or teameunos.com as they know quite a bit about the cosmo.

Just had a look on ausrotary- you should have two aerials, one thicker than the other, aerial is a wire in the rear windscreen (poor reception)

Qu- What model do you have? ccs?
    - Do you have a cd stack? (behind drivers seat on the right)

Could the whiring noise be the power to the stack turning it off?  I think the power runs through the main unit so you never know.

I have the FSM if you want it then PM me.
Regards
Jon

If his signature is correct & he has a 90-model 13B version then it will be a Type-S or Type-E.

Meaning the AE is the little up-side down T-shapped wire at the top of the rear window plus another sneaky one at the bottom for the "diversity" AE system.
