Title: Back To Standard
Post by: TracNGaz on May 23, 2007, 11:12:57 PM
Having a moment here

Just wondering how hard it would be to return mine to std.  Ie remove all the added extras induction kit, dump valve exhaust etc?

I know it would need remapping but would I be able to dump the apexi in favour of a std ecu as well?

If everything is going back to stock, then yes you can just use the stock ECU!!

You\'d be suprised the number of guys that say they have a stock fd then in the same sentence except wheels inducton exhaust etc. Plenty of stock looking fd\'s out there but it would be intresting to know how many truely 100% stock motors are out there.

True..... I think tho IF I do decide to go standard it would be to go back to completely standard as in out the factory (other than security devices ie alarm and tracker and possibly a turbo timer)

Also if i sell all the aftermarket goodies on mine I can buy the mrs something nice to placate her after buying the car in the first place.

Not such a bad idea everyone happy lol

I\'ve changed a load of bits on mine but i\'m keeping everything so I have to option to go back to almost standard for when (if!) i sell it.

mines standard too but soon will have, HKS filters, WGT SMIC, Apexi ECU and silenced Mid pipe.... Only reason I\'m doing this though is I had a fairly powerful 300zxTT and I miss have 300 horses to play with. The above will be the only mods I give the car so hopefully I\'ll see 310-320 at the fly.... maybe?
