Title: Gary RotaryArt
Post by: Hayward North on May 22, 2007, 07:39:38 PM
Little worried as i have no dealings with RotaryArt before so i will burdon you with troubles.
I orderd a scoot type bonnet from RotaryArt with all confidence as Gary seemed to be a genuin fella, He estimated the time of arival of the bonnet as 2 weeks.
its now been nearly 5 weeks and gary disapeared off the forum, his last activity was 8 days ago when he said he would pop down to the place they make em and let me know, 8 days later and i still aint a clue as to where or what is happening.

The big question is Am i 2 worry about where my money has gone or are my doubts unfounded.

A little feedback will put my mind at rest i guess.

Oh and if anyone knows garry tell him to at least let me know whats happening.

This is not flames in any way just concern, as gary knows i cannot access his website to get any contact info from.

Ta steve

Don\'t worry dude - that\'s Gary for you. Think i waited about 12 weeks or something silly. You will get it, I\'m sure. Just takes a very, very long time. Have you got through to him? Did he say he\'s having trouble getting the catch sorted from the engineering shop?

All he said 8 days ago was hes off to the shop to find out and give me an eta.
8 days later and nothing.
I know i aint gonna be the only customer he has but an update would be nice :)

:D

Yeah, only in the central tunnet on the underside of the bonnet. It will supply cool air to the upper inlet manifold (cool it down) and stops it rubbing on the upper inlet manifold!!

Yeah, its got a little anti-bump in it! :p Fits right over. If you have a Arc Intercooler, or Dragon v-mount intercooler, you may need to cut the tunnel, otherwise you should be good.

Looking forward to it.
Am interested in the underside of the bonnet as well, as everytime you lift the bonnet and show somebody they instantly see it, so i wanna finish it off underneath and could do with seeing what work is involved there.

I know im sad, but eventually i want every aspect of my car to be spot on.

This is the thread that made me want one of these bonnets :)

I also have the same toelinks and trailing arms on my car, fitted em about 3 weeks ago and thought they would be noisy but they arent at all, not quite as quiet as the stock ones but not at all noisy.

I have been emailing Gary recently about some new wheels. He stopped repliying to my mails last week but it transpires he has been on holiday, a busy one at that. I would guess that is the reason he hasn\'t been in contact

Gary will go out of his way to sort you out Steve, no need to be concerned. He\'s saved my sanity on many occasions, at unsociable hours! Looks like he\'s been away on business or hols or something.

Just spoken to Gary! He\'s been having some serious internet problems - should be sorted by the weekend.  He\'s also been moving his stores and helping his brother move house so hasn\'t been as available on the phone as usual.

Normal service will be resumed ASAP!

I ordered some bonnet pins friday and paid £11 just for next day delivery as i need them last week (off to nurburgring in 21 days and have a bonnet to fit and spray between now and then, need pins so i can hack bonnet up before i spray it...also loads of other jobs to do!)

Well obviously its thursday now so thats 6 days and still nothing.  I wasnt phoned about it, i had to chase Gary up - however, when i did speak to him it turns out that he has no internet access at the moment due to moving house etc and also has no stock of the bonnet pins.

So although he hasnt been in contact with me at all about it which is a pain, there is a good reason behind it. Don\'t worry, you will get your bonnet otherise gary would have gone out of business by now! Its just all out of his control at the moment, BT are being a pain in the arse installing his new broadband.

I know *EXACTLY* what you mean Stylus.

I don\'t think anyone is disputing that he is a sound guy, I would completely agree with those sentiments. I got the impression that he\'s always juggling 100 balls at once, and he has been let down by suppliers in the past (especially when it come to bonnets and their hardware).
