Im not sure if the first link you sent me was for modells up to 1988\'.

Ive got a 1989, but I will fry my brain with the details and see if it a ll matches up.

Thanks,

Matt

In the UK they are all S4 really (the EGI\'s) :)

So the one for the s5 would be okay on my 1989 egi.

not sure as the USA 6 port 13b\'s were quite different to the euro spec ones. Didn\'t they ditch the distributor for a start?

I supose it depends on what you are going to be Doing with it? If you want plenty left to tweek then i\'d be tempted to go with Stu and get a Microtech or a Greddy E-Manage.

Have a Word with the Prof i think hes the Greddy man ;) i know they are not stupid money and have the means to go Turbo in the Future if you want. But if you want to Stay NA maybe catch up with ian duncan he\'s the Man when it comes to NA FC\'s.

I want to keep it N/A for now, Ive had it a few months, so just getting used to it and getting my head round the world of rotary.  Plus the engine was only rewbuilt 15,000 miles ago.

What needs to be changed to make an N/A into a turbo anyway, what cost range is involved? (for future refernce).

Matt

Pretty much just add a Turbo, MAP sensor, bigger injectors and an ECU that can map it (over simplistic I know - you will need an intercooler and some other bits as well).

So would £ 1000 be a resonable estimate?

£1000 would get you the ECU.....

You can squeeze around 180-190hp out of an Egi without going too radical, and nicely modded EGi\'s are pretty rare.  You need to get a full exhaust system on there to start with, get the air pump and air injection system removed and the ports blocked off, I\'d recommend investing in a good earth strap for the engine - most of them develope a nasty flat spot around 3500-3750rpm on WOT when the secondary injectors come fully on, a decent earth strap will lower the impeadence a little and help to remedy the flat spot.  If you do a search in the 2nd gen section for EGI you will find a lot of information about whats possible :yes

Might just keep it as it is then!

The bank balance wont stretch that far!

Ive got K & N panel filter on the way, had the heat exchange removed, its got the s/s y-pipe and back boxes.

While its running well best leave it I think.

Whats that saying?

If its not broke dont fix it!  :rollin

HKS make an FCON harness for the FC so you could use a FCON Pro :)
