Ok am about to install my 2d water injecton and need to know where and what colour the wires are for the injector signal.
Im guessing its taped off the ecu and/or the secondary injectors?
Purchased my system 2nd hand so all i have is schematic diagram on one a4 piece of paper.
Im sure someone will know this as quite a few members here have water/meth injection systems installed.
Ecu pinout or just the location and colours of the wires would be nice.
does there site not have the instruction bud?
No m8.
Aquamist aint RX7 specific so they dont list the FD wire locations, they only have indications as to what wires need to be connected to + and - on the injectors not where they are.
The rest i have figured out as its pritty simple even if it has about 15 wires.
Am just lacking the location of the + and - injector wires on the secondary injectors in the engine bay or ecu.
BTW the injector wires that i need the location for are the ones on the car not the aquamist.
Mark (blitzboy) may see the post & answer question for you knows his way round wmi
You can use an ignition switched +12v source for red wire. Green wire needs to be spliced into injector negative (don\'t cut the injector wire just bare and solder green wire). You can splice primary injector and use boost switch to turn 2D on, or secondary injector and no boost switch so that 2D cuts in only when secondaries come online)

Could you elaborate a little more as im no sparky.
I have all wires sorted apart from the 2 + and - that go to the injectors
"You can use an ignition switched +12v" = do you mean i can use any ignition switched +12 for the red wire that suposted to go to the injectors from the aquamist ?
"Green wire needs to be spliced into the injector negative" = im assuming you mean the green from the aquamist needs to be spliced into the -injector wire, if so then where do i find the -injector wire and what colour is it.
Are the injector wires located at the secondary injector itself or is it better to take them from the ECU.
Colours and location of the wires on the car are the biggest problem as i dont want to start it and have to leave it uncompleated if i get stuck.
Yes, switched ignition will be fine. You will see from the wiring diagram FIA2 only needs 3A.
Yes again, I was referring to the green aquamist wire, I would pick this up near the ECU. I have added some diagrams, but can\'t be more specific as my setup is on a Microtech ECU. According to diagrams wire colours are:-
Pri. Light Green/Red stripe and Light Green/Black stripe.
Sec. Light Green/White stripe and Light Green.
As I said before don\'t cut the wire, just remove some outer sleeve to bare wire. Solder green wire from FIA2 to this, then wrap well.
You can call me on 01202 785851 if still unsure.
Kev
I may end up calling you at some point FD3UK.
So im only unsure of the location of 1 wire then, the negative injector wire on the ecu (Light Green/White stripe and Light Green) .
Am i right in thinking i should be taking the injector negative from the secondary ?
If it was my setup, I would use feed from secondaries and no boost activation switch. I think that is how Mark(Blitzboy) has wired his up. I\'m sure he will confirm.
Kev
yep thats hows I have wired mine up, the FIA on my HFS5 system is activated via the secondary injector feed
When duz it activate then if its wired upto only the secondarys ? 3K ?
The 2d system i have indicates that its needs to be connected to the secondarys and the boosts, if i just set the Boost sensor to the lowest wont it com on as though its not even there giving me the option to use it via if i change my mind.
There is no problem installing boost switch as well. It\'s all down to personal choice and how much water you want to use.
On my setup Microtech cuts water/methanol in at over 3000rpm and 2psi of boost. I believe Apexi secondaries ramp in depending on RPM and boost.
Have you traced a suitable place to tap injector wire OK?
If you decide to try without boost switch, just ground black wire and leave blue wire disconnected.
I have managed to find from a US site that i visit that i can tap the green/white straige from the secondarys just like you previously indicated.
I kinda want water from 3k and 2psi like yourself so that at the moment is myplan.
Gonna start it at the weeksend so will post piccys so you can tell me if i go wrong :)
Gonna use the back washer bottle for now till i get a proper tank and also gonna mount the pump in the boot, also i have a spare dale clark viton one way check valve that im gonna put just before the filter and pump so i dont have to worry about the hight of the water in relation to the pump.
If you see anything wrong with the way im going about this them please chime in.
Aslo if you know where i can get a nice plastic or ally water tank for the boot them let me know as i cant find any online .
Ok appologies for dragin this thread up again but im unable to read wiring diagrammes so that said could sombody please read the fws wiring manual and let me know where the secondary -wire is, im at my wits end as i have everything installed just need to know where the pin is in the ecu if somebody can give me a pin location ie. connector number and lacation.
they can be found in the wireing manual but unfortunaly im unable to decifer it.
To give you an example the tacho i have figured out is connector 2 pin B giving a result of 2B,
From that i can then find the pin and finaly finish installing my Aquamist 2d
Ok think i found what im looking for and it may be of some use to others.
Site is here http://www.rotary-imports.de/space/PFC_install_FC.pdf
Goto page 6 and you will find a FD 92-96 pinout :D
Well as of today my Aquamist 2D is running.
Had the jet pointing at the windscreen so i can see when it cuts in and out.
Also its connected to the datalogit ready for me to keep an eye on it.
Just waiting for my Greedy Elbow to turn up so i can tap it and mount the jet into there insted of my windscreen.
Next on the ajenda is HKS twinspark so that i have a nice strong spark for the water/meth injection.
