Hey people,
I have just had a new clutch fitted, jst a stock for now. I was comming home last night and the pedal started to stick down. I lifted it up a few times with my foot but every time i stoped came out of gear at the lights to get back into first the pedal would stick down but i couldn\'t get the car into a gear. If moving then it released as usual. it only stuck when stationary?
Now i managed to get the car home and had a look at it this morning. Because i\'m at the other halfs i can\'t get under it to see exactly whats happening. Todays state of play is there is oil under the car, not much, and there is also oil over/under the rubber clutch hose thats over the right hand side of the gearbox as you look at the car from the front. There is no pressure what so ever on the pedal and she won\'t get into gear.
Any ideas?
clutch slave cylinder! sounds like a leak there.
No oil around that though (one that sits next to the master yeah). Could the rubber hose have split?
*hijack* any news on your bodykit matey *hijack*
sounds like a leaky slave cylinder. youll need to go under the car....the slave cylinder is above the starter motor. Either that or your clutch needs a LOT of bleeding!
edit - its got to be that if its leaking from where you say near the gearbox..that is exactly where the slave cylinder is
Had the Slave out today, definatly shot!!! Nice and easy to get to though. Will have a new one tomorrow and a braided line to match :chat
