Anyone know if the Blitz Access ECU\'s can be reprommed? :Thumbs-up
I know Fensport are the dealer for Blitz in the UK, have a word with them, see what they say.
Ta, will give them a poke when the time comes :yes
That\'s what I have in my current ECU - it\'s a ROM replacement on the standard ECU. Mine was not socketed, just soldered in, but it\'s an easy enough job to remove the old chip if you don\'t want to keep it (legs cut). A socket can then be soldered in, and any chip you like can go in there.
When I was working on Stu\'s ECU\'s there is a difference in the logic boards between the N374 and the N380 ECU\'s - one of the large logic chips was updated for a different part number, so the code in the ROM will reflect this.
From the research I did, the Blitz access ECU was tuned for aftermarket exhaust and intake with the standard Turbo - so gives more midrange torque and has fuelling for boost pressure to beyond 12 PSI (based on my LC-1 wideband readings). The rev limit is cut, the buzzer still sounds, but no rev limit anymore. It also provides the same functionallity as an FCD, so you should remove it if fitted, as it will provide false readings to the ECU.
Thanks Prof :)
The one I have says its for Exhaust, Filters, FMIC, Fuel cut etc.
We shall see :D
prof - so i take it that you cant copy your old chip ?
was your old ecu the N374 or the N380 ?

The original ECU in the car was an N380, the Blitz Access one has N380 written on one label, N374 on another and Blitz Access sticker on yet a third. The circuit boards in both my original ECU and the Blitz one were identical - the only thing changed was the chip - which had been unsoldered and the Blitz chip used in it\'s place. Both ECU\'s run fine in the car, although the Blitz one is by far better suited to the modded car.
If I cut the chip out of the old ECU, and solder some pins onto what\'s left of the legs, I could read the chip off and copy it to another one. I would then remove the stubs from the circuit board and solder a socket in it. That would then leave it ready to accept a chip. The one I copied from your Knightsports is for an N374 logic card, which has one chip different from the N380. I am guessing the 2 are not interchangeable :(
blimey - thats confusing
but yeah i dont think the N380 and N374 are interchangable ( chips wise )
