Title: All go and no STOPPING!
Post by: kevinb on May 17, 2007, 11:21:17 AM
Morning all,

Driving home last night I had to brake quit hard to avoid hitting a kid who just stepped out into the road (would have been a good 50 points too .

I noticed there was a very odd noise coming from the footwell. When I put my foot on the brake hard, it sounded like air was being forced out of somewhere, and when I put my foot down slowly but firmly, there was a very odd tapping noise. I got my mate to press the brake down for me whilst I was by the front wheels and it seems to be coming from that area.

Any ideas?

tapping = abs ?
odd noise like air escaping = knackered abs?

get it checked.

tapping is a very ABS style description though. Depends whether you\'re used to ABS or not: you know when it\'s occurring if you\'re used to it!
