Title: Braided hoses
Post by: Gatesy on May 16, 2007, 01:20:44 AM
Right I\'ve got the chance to get some braided lines via work so I need a rough idea of how much I would need for my brakes and my fuel line, also what diameter and also what pressure rating the stuff should be done to.

Where you gettin them from mate? Braided brake lines need to be bought as ready made assemblies!

By the time you\'ve got the ends and finished them off, it would be cheaper to just but a set of Goodridge.

Right ok guys that was the kind of advice I was after.  I\'ll just buy some ready made sets instead.  To be honest I was thinking twice about messing about as if the brakes go wrong I\'m dead the way I drive :)

Worth while replacing the flexible clutch line from the centre firewall to the block at the same time too.

These often fail on older cars and will improve clutch feel.

i\'ve just replaced my brake servo pipe with braided hose.  i removed the one-way valve from my old pipe and put it in the braided pipe with a lil lube and 2 jubilee\'s either side so theres no chance of it moving. ;)
