just bought some mazdaspeed white dials and it turns out they are for the 280kph speedo and not the 180kph that mines got :Hammer any hints on what to do here ?? i dont suppose that there is any chance that cause the numbers are in a differant place this would be close enough to bein mph instead of kph ????(http://i20.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/9d/2a/c19d_1.JPG)
Think I have a spare 280kph knight speedo clock black face hanging around, bought as a spare, tested in car and but not on road as my cars sorn so cant check it fully. Mileage will be out so you will have to get it corrected.

if you do the mph conversion with the chip it works out about right.
ie 1.6km = 1m
280km = 175mph
but i think that this would cost about the same as the knight sports speedo

so what your saying is , if i put a mph converter on 1st then change my 180kph clocks to the 280kph clocks it will read near enough correct ??? will it be in mph or kph tho ???
thats correct, but you would be back to kph. the main differance is you would be able to do more than 180kph and still see how fast your going.
ive just looked the price of the chips up on ebay and tbh its only an extra £10 to get the guage from eddie and then you know its right.

ive got the chip already ive just never bothered putting it in , came with the car when i bought it but the garage didnt want to risk damaging the surround :0)
so il still be in kph but il have de-restricted it and have my nice mazdaspeed dials in , so roughly when the clocks read 50kph il be doing about 30 is that right ???
i think so, would be worth just offering up the new dial front and make sure that stuff lies up roughly, also i advise checking your speed limit speeds with gps as my standard clocks were out by 5kph at 30mph and about 20kph at 100mph(checked on a Private road lol)
