SMIC, Blitz Induction, Apexi PFC (not fitted), 3 gauges not fitted, earth kit not fitted. HKS Muffler and straight through mid pipe. 100Kmiles on car.
Apart from the engine side of things, nowt wrong with it as far as I\'m aware. Oh and it\'s a UK. K reg.
Just gathering all my options before I decide what to do. :)

Its probably worth more in bits i\'d of thought providing you can sell everything that is. You could end up with about £4000 then. Nice looking car though
Dont sell it, i know its disheartening when you have problems and ive thought the same of my car a couple of times, just keep at it fella, you\'ll be glad you didnt sell when you get it going again.

yea dont give up hope!! i got mine with compression reaults in the fives but im still driving it till it pops,in the meantime bought a single turbo to fir whilst saving for the rebuild! beautiful example though, i dont know how you could even consider selling it!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with the above comments, don\'t give up - keep the faith Its deffo worth getting the engine re-built the car will be worth soooooo much more with a fresh engine and warranty

As said, it\'ll regain a nice bit of value with a fresh rebuilt engine and warranty :)

It\'s also got turbos that were overhauled at the cost of about £2.5K about 3years ago.
TBH I don\'t want to get rid of it. I can\'t afford a rebuild by a dealer, so it would be a DIY. I\'ve got the space to do it in the house, just a case of the lack of knowlege. But I\'m sure you lot can help me out on that front.
I\'ve still not decided what I\'m gonna do tbh.

Rebuild it yourself! take a look at the diy-re videos, and I would be suprised if they did not inspire confidence!
drive it till it dies! then rebuild it yourself. or buy a crate engine and swap them out. i know of a few tuners who you send your engine to (plus a wad of cash lol) and then they send you back one rebuilt.
It won\'t drive at the moment. It\'ll start, just... but die on idle.

Could be an Oil seal gone causing flooding to the engine? Does it smoke like a biach?
Not 100% sure. Not something I can see easily while reving it and it won\'t stay alive if I\'m not keeping some gas on.

Maybe a breather pipe came off the engine, spend £50 on a mobile tuner to check it out;

I will post my symptoms up on fduk etc tomorrow and see what those chaps say.
Dont Scrap/Sell her thats blasphemous! Find some one up there who will rebuild it for you im sure theres somebody capeable (i mean what happens to all the scotish rex\'s when they pop?) or DIY :D (something id love to do in the future when i have the time) Or get/find a frend with a suitable towing veh and a LOT of beer tokens in your pocket. :wiggle

Will it run if you keep the revs at ~1500 rpm?
If so then whack the PFC in, fiddle with the idle settings until it\'ll tickover.
Bad low-rpm idle is a classic sign of a chipped tip. Mine was crap so I upped the idle to 1100 and it was fine for driving home from Bruntingthorp and then over to Newbury!
At least you could get the problem properly diagnosed and know one way or the other.
