Title: Boost leak?
Post by: RedRummy on May 14, 2007, 05:33:18 PM
Hi,

I\'m sure I\'ve got some kind of boost leak, or maybe some kind of other air pressure leak...

My FD doesn\'t seem to boost as well on the first turbo that it used to, and it has started making some strange sounds... the turbos now click rapidly when I\'m on boost, and I can also hear some gas escaping (making a squeal) when i turn the ignition off....

It still boosts quite well, and manages to reach about 0.8bar but is mapped to 0.9bar.

The first turbo just seems slow to pick up (slower than normal) and not as responsive...

I\'ve no idea how to check for boost leaks (or air pressure leaks) - I\'ve had a quick scan for pipe that might have come lose, but haven\'t got a clue how to diagnose it...

how can I test my set up... it was remapped recently and all was fine.
