Just got my compresion test results back from the garage.
results were all around 9\'s, is this considered good?

I would say yes remarkably so. The engine is as new but then the garage doing the testing could have told you that

Sounds good mate. A compression test really does not mean a lot. The drive and the way the car pulls through the rev range would give a good indication of how the car is.

Glad it drives well. :)

9\'s would be very good on some new engines. Is the engine brand spankers, or has he used a piston compression tester, did he give you a read out to prove?

It is important to take into consideration the RPM that the test was done at.
A proper rotary compression tester will compensate for the rpm anbd do a correction as the readings should be corrected to 250rpm.
