Post by: olly-civic on May 09, 2007, 12:07:17 AM
anyone had an oil leak around the turbo area, cant really see where its comming from but when i stop i get that nice smell of burning oil and a tiny wisper of smoke comes from the turbo area, it does drip a tiny bit on the floor too but only a tiny bit, the rest seems to be burn on the exhaust? any ideas?

1) On my car, it turned out the oil injectors were faulty, allowing oil to drip on the turbos.
2) also had a problem with the oil return pipes from the turbos - new gaskets there fixed that.

You cant really see them. They are under the intake plenum. They sit on top of the motor and there is one for each Rotor. Mine were faulty, allowing oil to collect in a puddle on top of the engine, then occasionally, some would overflow and run down the engine onto the exhaust.

its proberbly a leak from your oil feed or return pipes on the turbo pack. Best thing to do is to try and look more closely from where the oil is coming from, i.e. underneath the turbos.
