Title: Video/sound clip of idling FD
Post by: dhracer on May 08, 2007, 12:21:39 PM
Does anyone have/know where to find some, I\'m after a clip of a healthy engine at idle and one of one only running on 1 rotor it\'d be good to have as a reference I think :)

lol. You will know if it\'s running on 1 rotor. It is like having 2 spark plugs missing on a 4 piston engine.  A healthy rotary should be smooth and sit at 850rpm

When i first got my fd, i was reading up on it whilst waiting for it to arrive in the uk. The best description i read, was that a rotary engine when revved hard sounds like a big drum full of wasps, and it true!
