Post by: evo_ray on May 08, 2007, 12:06:32 AM
I\'m looking to get hold of some after market gauges for my 1992 FD.  Anyone got any advice on make of good gauges to get and the best place to locate them?

Defi on eBay :P

Defi BF Guages are practically the best you can get

A set is about 500£ lol... but thats 4 gauges and a controller only.. but there are no other gauges like it

I have some white BFs.

Very good.

There are also Apexi, HKS, and others. All have the same features these days.

Apexi are a lot thinner than Defi.

Try some SPA ones.....I can supply these to you if you need them!

The spec are as follows:

Dual display
Alarms
Choice of Back lights

Easy to install, and very reliable.

Yeah the SPA ones are very smart.
Defi gauges are ace and very accurate but the cost is high
Autometer gauges are good quality, accurate and on the cheaper side, they have a varied range including electronic and mechanical to suit each budget...

I love the look of the defi gauges but they come with a heavy price tag!!! I\'ve got white ones on a Tommi Mak i\'ve just bought and they certainly look the business.

I might have to look for a cheaper option as I have still to buy the Apexi PFC, new tyres, and I\'m thinking of having my standard alloys powder coated black.

Thats some serious wonga leaving the comfort of my pocket!!
