Title: Will this bov fit my IC ?
Post by: Jim_rx7 on May 06, 2007, 11:22:20 PM
I have a XS Power IC which has a BOV flange already on it. It currently has a blanking plate on it.

Someone suggested that it looks like a greddy bov should fit it?

ie ..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GREDDY-STYLE-BOV-BLOW-OFF-VALVE-DUMP-VALVE-WRX-EVO-MR2_W0QQitemZ320110586664QQihZ011QQcategoryZ72205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I could obviously just have a HKS SSQV flange welded on to the IC, but it seems like to much hassle. Buying a BOV that will fit straight on would be easier, then selling the HKS.

I realise it\'s not a genuine greddy bov, but tbh I\'ve used a blitz copy on an Evo in the past with no problems.

the only problem with those Greddy copies is the seal.  I had one, and the bov was great but needed to silicone around the gasket as it is crappy paperish thing and doesn\'t hold the pressure..

I have emailed them, still waiting on a reply.

How easy would it be for a garage to weld on the HKS flange and chop of the one on the IC? How much should I expect to pay for them doing so?
