The Std air filter is: 260mm x 275mm, I was looking at using one of the filters from my ARC induction box in a custom cold intake system but they measure: 220mm x 180mm, would this strangle the performance or wouldn\'t it make any differance???
If push came to shove I could use the 2 K&N filters from the ARC box!!
Please advise!!

K&N do a replacement stock panel, that works very well.
By using 2 filters one on top of other you might strangle air flow, and replacement would be cheaper buying one at time rather than the 2 arc filters.
Misunderstood me there mate..... I\'ve got 2 K&N filters in my Arc induction box.... what I was going to do is use one of the filters from it & keep the other one spair!! but if the flow through one of the filters wouldn\'t be enough I would increase the size of the custom induction I have to make & use both filters in it side by side!!

If you know what model / part number the K&N filter is you can look up what the BHP rating is on K&N site or let me know and I\'ll look it up in my book.
Be aware though that K&N quote N/A figures so you must add on for turbo cars, its all on the site
The filters are the same as a 2.0 merc SLK (that is actualy what they are for!!) They were the closest fitment to the ARC box!!
jono
just did a quick search and a slk 2.0 does not have a panel filter they are round

yep, used those filters as well and work well in the ARC box, just could have done with being slightly bigger but they do the job.
