Post by: Mr_7 on May 03, 2007, 01:44:03 PM
hey guys,

can any one help? my car had a flat battery so i charged it and fitted it, since then everytime i drive it and it goes to boost up or with a little throttlle it violently pops and bangs and you have to immediatley back off. therefore at the moment it is undrivable.

It idles fine, revs freely in nuetral, drives but just wont let you put your foot down or go above 2.5k under load? any help i thank in advance

what ecu you got? is the hose for your map sensor in at both ends? also is the map sensor plugged in?

has a stadard ecu on it, i have checked the sensor and all seems ok! the symptoms do look like a map sensor though. I have tried an ecu reset before when it done this and it worked but then it comes back!

TBH this is an on going problem

can anyone tell me what way the inline valve should be pointing (the arrow on the casing), should it be pointed to the map sensor or the plenum?

also when blowing through the vavle shoiuld i feel resistance? (i can blow through mine in both directions without much resistance!)
