Title: Best way to clean the inside of an IC??
Post by: Jono FD3 on May 02, 2007, 10:06:18 PM
As the title says guys..... I\'ve just modded the endtanks to take the new pipework, but I want to be 100% sure that all the crap is out as this could be a costly mistake as you can understand!!

I\'ve got all the bits I can see out, but I want peace of mind that nothing is going to screw up the engine!!!

Cheers

Fire the hose from the other end and direct it to each end of the endtanks. Leave it running for a good 10 minutes, to make sure all the crap it removed.

Didnt you think about putting a rag down the pipe before hand?

Yea, I ragged it mate.... thing is the drill desided it wanted to eat the rag at one point so I missed a few bits!!! so basicaly brush out the small bits with a small brush & ram a hose pipe in there & turn the tap on full to wash any crap out??
