Post by: yamaster on May 02, 2007, 06:19:34 PM
finaly got a comander  for the apexi

problem with the car are over boosting and missing up high in the revs

these are the lights that are on

PAC  = Port Air Control   (only when reved)
CCN  =Charge Control
FPD = Fuel Pump operation

would these be couse of my problems??

and how much would new switches be?

  thanks

A \'light\' doesn\'t mean a fault, it\'s just the current status of the signals to the apexi ECU.

Do you get the heat light illuminating on the dashboard?

The apexi has not been mapped for your engine?

If I were you, I\'d take it back to the tuners again. Drive slowly. Good luck.

what mods have you got?

could well be that you need a boost controller or a bigger pill.

Overboosting - check vacuum pipes to actuators and solenoids.
Missfire - check plugs,leads etc. Should see a big fat blue spark. (i\'ve done a post on checking this somewhere)
Describe the missfire - if its complete cut out for a second or so its the ecu fuel cutting due to overboost. If you don\'t get a warning red light then the lights broken. I would get that fixed soon.
Not 100% on this but a missfire would raise exhaust gas energy (as it burns through the turbo) and cause overboost conditions.
Let us know what you find.
Good luck

The problem is Shane that you have messed something up by changing the Vacuum pipes for silicone ones.If they had been left alone then I don\'t think you would have had the overboosting problem which is more than likely to be causing boost cut as it is over boosting.
You must very carefully check all pipes and all solenoids,check to see if there are any damaged ones with spigots broken off when you chan ged the pipes and that they are all working too.
Have you changed the pipes going down to the wastegate as well?
You don\'t need a seperate boost controller or enlarged wastegate.
Regards
Carl

the overboosting was happening before i changed the pipes. thats why i changed the pipes over hopping it would be a split pipe but doesnt look like it was. i didnt do all the pipes. only the ones under the plenum as i ran out of silicone piping.

are them lights suposed to be on on the comander carl?

Yes you will have some lights on the cammander due to the setup.
The boost was fine when it left us,something has definitely changed to cause the overboost.
Best you phone me on my new number in the week.
Regards
Carl
