I discovered last night why I was having problems with one of my tyres going flat:

Has anyone got a pair or two of old wheels that they don\'t need any more? I am guessing that even if welding this were safe, it would be too expensive.
Sean
What rims are they? Egi, cab or TII?
They were momo, and I don\'t think they\'re made any more (dated \'93, and maybe 11600 is a model code). The car is a cab - and I sold a set of cab wheels last year :(
Lots of people on here have spare TII and EGI wheels, the cab ones may be more of a challenge...
are the cab wheels a different offset? My old ones were 17x7.5", 35ET
had you thought about getting them repaired?
Welding a wheel that\'s got an old fracture in it seemed a bit suspect to me. Any experience or suggestions (north london area ideally!)
i got some t2 rims you could have for cheap mate. they need a bloody good clean tho.

Cab wheels are completely different from the other ones - they\'re BBS wheels that were only made for the convertible and nothing else. Offset should be the same but they\'re one size smaller than the standard wheels. From memory (car\'s too far away for me to check) they\'re 15" instead of 16" like you get with EGIs and regular TIIs.

Drop me an email at tshoulihane@hotmail.com - sounds like they\'ll be good enough!
Thanks,
Sean
EGi wheels were 15"X6.5" , I think the cabs were the same but maybe a little wider. THe TII had 16x7.5 IIRC....
