Title: Idle Problems
Post by: GaseJo on April 28, 2007, 05:19:01 PM
Hi all,

Need a little advice!!!  I have just finished changing my rats nest pipes for silicon and fitted all hard pipes (induction and Intercooler). On starting the car the idle started at around 2000 from cold dropping to 1100 ish when warm. Also if i blip the throttle she seems to want to die then the revs build up as normal. then when i take my foot off the throttle the revs fluctuate between 1300 and 800 ish very fast the settles down again at about 1100. My question is do i need to run learning mode of the APEXI again so the unit can take into account the new parts? or does anyone know another eason for this?

Cheers Garith.

You made need to adjust your idle bleed screw. I used Dale Clark,s ( US Forum ) Apexi set up procedure and it states that if your RPM wanders after learning then you made need to adjust your idle bleed screw. Its a large recessed screw located centrally below the intake elbow. Recommendations are 3/8 to 1/2 turn from closed.
