Right i have a TII shell that has plonked into it a V8. Thats coming out and I have a standard 13B EGI lump to go in it. I have a donor TII shell which is scrap so I can get all the coil packs and the like of it. Just what do i need from the donor car to get the EGI running. The EGI has a dizzy and the TII has not so can i use the electronic ignition, coil packs etc for the EGI. I have put an add for the intake system and ECU. On the exhaust side i want to rid of the thermal reactor and get something like a janspeed manifold to mate up with the twin system already fitted. Any help be much appreciated. On the plus side there will be quite a few spares up for grabs once i\'ve got what i want of the donor car but i\'ll advertise later so please dont ask yet.
thats a really ODD swap to be honest - most people go EGI to TII :D
Hmm..depending on your budget its probably worth upgrading the EGI lump to electronic ignition and running with a Microtech ECU - you will get the best out of your engine and it will also mean you dont need the AFM etc. I think that if you can get hold of the TII ignition system it will mate with the 13B block. (I know I\'m missing a vital piece there but I cant recall what it is)
well thats it, i have the entire TII shell so will have everything from it. The reason for doing the swop this way is for several reasons
1. The current engine is a V8
2. All the TII engine assessories were ripped out
3. I just happen to have an EGI engine thats been rebuilt
4. Just want something plain and simple in it with no boost or turbo woes
I would consider going to a TII but its the cost of sourcing the turbo and all the stuff that i would need and to be honest want this done as cheaply as possible.
what v8 was in it?thinking of putting one in mine, was it a good fit?
