When I brake hard from high speed the car seems to dive to one side - most disconcerting!
Is this likely to be due to a warped disc or could it be something else? (tyre pressures are fine)
could be your tracking, does it pull to one side if you let go of the steering wheel?
you may be on the right tracks, the easy way to check is just run your finger up the disc or jack the car and spin the disc and watch to see if it wobbles.
I\'d say check tracking/alignment or any play in bushes... Or could have just been a heavily cambered road?
If you have warpped discs, you will feel a heavy vibration through the brake pedal.....what you are describing sounds very different to warpped discs.
Like already whats been mentioned, was you on a heavily cambered road?
Could be tracking out aswell.
I think tracking is OK, doesn\'t pull to one side and have had a 4 wheel laser alignment not too long ago. Its happened quite a few times so don\'t think it was down to the particular road.
Not noticed any heavy vibration through brake pedal, although when it is lurching about I tend to be concentrating on the steering!
Check to see that both calipers are working, if ones not it will pull to one side
i agree, brake inbalance is more likely than tracking. Check your tyres and your suspension aswell. these all cause the symptom
i have had a caliper go on a vtech accord and it would pull very hard to one side but a wobbly vibration was present too.
I\'ll have a look at the calipers, hope its nothing too expensive
Thanks for the help
well i have new disks and pads, new HKS coilovers and poly bushes and mine still pulls to one side when braking, did it before all of the conversion. Its down to the roads in my area, deep lorry tracks that the wide wheels just seem to fit perfectly, come out of these tracks and boy can it take you to one side as it find sit way back into them. It just passed the MOT and brakes pull strong and to same reading. Good old norfolk roads.!!
